God’s Good Plan Week 5: Daniel And The Lion's Den
Hey parents! Use these questions as a guide to talk over this week’s lesson about Daniel with your child after they’ve watched the video service!
- What was your favorite part of the video we just watched?
- What did Daniel do three times a day no matter what?
He prayed. - How did God protect Daniel?
God sent an angel to close the mouths of the lions. - What did the Skuppets learn about being brave?
Being brave is about facing your fears even when you’re scared. You can be brave because God is on your side. You can always tell God when you’re scared and ask him to help you be brave! We do that when we pray to God. You can also talk to your family about how you feel and pray together.
Pray with your child and thank God that he is our protector. Ask God to be with you to help you be brave even if we are scared. And remember that we don’t have to face scary things alone. Thank God for his love and good plans!

Bravery Shield Craft
Daniel was brave in the lions’ den because he knew God had a good plan. Help your child cut and color this Bravery Shield to remind them that God is bigger than anything scary they face!
Knocking Down Fear Bowling Activity
Knockdown fear with your child with this fun bowling activity! Help your child name and write down different fears on cups or “pins”. Then, as they roll a ball to knock down those fears, they will be reminded that God is bigger and will help them when they are afraid.

This week’s Family Game Night activity is a talent show! Have everyone in your family bring a talent (or a few!) to the show. Make sure to clap and encourage everyone who takes a turn. Getting up in front of people can be scary, but God will always help us face our fears, like he did with Daniel.
