March-April 2025 Update
Dear Praying Friends,
With great joy, I share with you, that after 21 years of church meeting in our home and/or on our property, we have officially moved onto our new church property! We have two large classrooms, a large ladies’ restroom, a large entry area (foyer), and a temporary auditorium (meeting under the future balcony of the future auditorium). We have cement floor in the entire structure and a cement roof over our heads. We don’t have a front door or the sides of the auditorium closed off yet, so we’re being creative on ways to keep the cows, horses and dogs out until we come up with a better temporary wall plan. (We’re looking into a bamboo wall around the auditorium). I was able to block off the preschool classroom pretty well, so we’re keeping things of value in there for now.
Our first service last Sunday was a day of celebration with many first-time adult visitors and many visiting children as well. Since this piece of property is on the outskirts of Tixtla, we have to organize and carpool with those who don’t have vehicles. Regardless of the distance, we had two beautiful services on Sunday and our Thursday evening service as well.
Our hearts are filled with praise to God for allowing us to make this shift. Now, we have more space to grow.
As for us, the pastor’s family, for the first time, we had to GO to church.
I don’t have toddlers jumping on my couches and the men’s class sitting in front of the kitchen stove anymore. The best for me was seeing the ladies’ restroom line advance MUCH faster. In some ways, we miss the church— all the extra chairs and tables available all the time and the closeness of running to my room to get anything we forgot!

Please pray that the Lord will add many more souls to His church and that He would provide for the multiple needs in our new property.
We also had the joy of teaching in two conferences last month, one in which my 15 year-old daughter Lydia surrendered to serve the Lord full-time. The other conference was in the mountains just 20 minutes from my husband’s home village. The first pastor in this village was martyred over 30 years ago for his faith, but now the work has grown so that they hosted this conference free for any Christian who could possibly attend. I enjoyed teaching those dear ladies and teens so much!
The Acapulco mission celebrated children’s day with a good group of about 100 kids and adults last Tuesday. This Tuesday, the group will head to a new mountain village (about 3 hours from Tixtla) for the first time. One of the brothers from our church works there as a Jr. High teacher and has a burden for this town. Pray for their protection and many opportunities to share the gospel.
We are sooooo appreciative of those who gave extra this month to help us move into our new building. If you can, plan a visit and come down to see all the Lord is doing first hand. I even have a guest room to offer you now.
Offer a special “thank you” to the Lord with us for giving us life, time, energy, strength, money and His Grace to move out to the new property. Glory to His Name!
Joyfully serving our King,
Laura (for all: Efraín, Samuel, Hannah, Grace, Lydia, Laura, Mark, Ruth, and Benji)
