Why We Go to Mexico

As we prepare for our mission trip to Mexico, I’m filled with excitement about meeting those who have been witnessing and serving the Nahuatl people in the mountain communities surrounding Tixtla de Guerrero. For the past two years, our church’s commitment to these communities has been incredibly impactful. Inspired by the Ruiz family’s powerful testimony, we have poured our hearts into this mission. Through their mission letters and Abigail’s one-month trip, we’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible changes happening there. It is my desire that this trip will deepen our faith, challenge us to trust God more fully, and allow us to see His work in action.

How We Will Serve in Tixtla

Our mission to Mexico, starting this Sunday, is not just about visiting; it’s about taking the first steps to establishing deep relationships with the Nahuatl and those serving them. While we are there, we’ll visit the mountain communities, lead studies, share our testimonies, connect directly with local believers, and share the gospel with those who have never heard it before. Recognizing that a strong local church facility is vital, we will give encouragement to our missionaries, support believers, and invest in the leadership at Iglesia Cristiana Bautista “La Gracia”.

Additionally, we will closely observe the needs of the mountain communities and the missionaries serving them. By identifying specific areas where help is needed, we can better support the mission in the future by tailoring our support to be more effective and impactful.

What We Hope to Achieve in Guerrero

Our goal as a church is to empower the mountain communities through both spiritual and practical support. By steadfastly supporting missionaries like the Ruiz family, we promote continuous spiritual growth for the future. This trip is part of our long-term vision of ongoing support and follow-up visits for sustained growth and development.

How You Can Be Involved

I am thrilled to share that I will be making a daily video vlog, internet permitting, to take our church with me on this journey. This way, you can be a part of our mission from home. Your support—whether through prayer, financial contributions, or joining future missions—is vital. Together, we can make a significant difference, spreading God’s love and making a lasting impact. Let’s embark on this journey with hearts full of faith and commitment.
