Grow Your Faith

If you want to deepen your relationship with God, then share the gospel and deepen your faith. I still recall my first few attempts were utter failures in my eyes. I usually overcomplicated the matter and tried to pour everything I knew into the conversation because I believed it was up to me to make it happen. However, like anything you practice, it has gotten easier over time with each opportunity; I have discovered that presenting the gospel draws you closer to the heart of God. When you share the gospel, do you find yourself stepping out in faith, relying on God’s wisdom and guidance? This act of obedience fuels your spiritual growth, expands your prayer life, and fills you with joy as you witness God’s kingdom grow. In other words, “Obey, pray, and find joy.” You’ll find that your compassion for others increases, and you’ll experience divine appointments that only God can orchestrate.

In essence, sharing the gospel tunes your heart to God’s frequency, growing your dependence, character, and intimacy with Him.

Myth Busters

Many think sharing the gospel is only for pastors, missionaries, or religious people. Some believe you must be perfect, good at public speaking, or have all the theological answers. But the truth is, sharing the gospel is for everyone. Be authentic and compassionate when you share your faith; it’s relatable.

Why Share?

Is sharing the gospel your way of fulfilling this command and spreading God’s love and salvation to people worldwide? As followers of Jesus Christ, Christians have been entrusted with the most precious gift – the good news of salvation.

Top Reasons to Share

Here are some compelling reasons why all Christians should share the gospel:

  • The Great Commission: It’s a command from Jesus Himself. He tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations.”[2] (Matthew 28:19) Sharing the gospel is a way to fulfill this command and spread God’s love and salvation to people worldwide.
  • Demonstrating God’s Love: Sharing the gospel isn’t just about obedience; it’s a profound way to demonstrate God’s love. When we share the good news, we show others the transformative power of God’s grace and mercy.[1] (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • Transforming Lives: The gospel has the power to transform lives. By sharing the message of salvation, Christians can help others find hope, forgiveness, and purpose in life.[1] (Romans 12:2)
  • Engaging in Spiritual Warfare: When we share the gospel, we also engage in spiritual warfare, helping people break free from the chains that bind them.[1] (Ephesians 6:12)
  • Obeying God’s Word: Engaging in this spiritual warfare helps break the chains of spiritual bondage, fulfilling the command in 1 Peter “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”[3] (1 Peter 3:15)
  • Bringing Joy: Sharing the gospel brings joy, honors God, and is an act of worship that reflects a deep love for God and a desire to see His kingdom grow.[4] (Philippians 4:4)
  • Honoring God: It’s a divine privilege to witness someone’s spiritual transformation through Christ.[4] (1 Corinthians 10:31)
